A strain of new Covid-19 that consolidates delta and omicron was found in Cyprus

 A strain of new Covid-19 that consolidates delta and omicron was found in Cyprus, as per Leondios Kostrikis, educator of natural sciences at the University of Cyprus and top of the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Molecular Virology.

"There are at present omicron and delta co-contaminations and we observed this strain that is a blend of these two," Kostrikis said in a meeting with Sigma TV Friday.

 The disclosure was named "deltacron" because of the ID of omicron-like hereditary marks inside the delta genomes, he said.

Kostrikis and his group have distinguished 25 such cases and the measurable examination shows that the general recurrence of the joined contamination is higher among patients hospitalized because of Covid-19 when contrasted with non-hospitalized patients.
